There are two types of arrangements that families make to ensure that the graves of their loved ones are maintained in a respectful, dignified, and loving manner.

Endowed Care

In an Endowed Care arrangement a one time affordable payment is made and professional care is arranged for the generations yet to come. There are no additional costs, annual care invoices or unplanned surprises. If a one time payment does not work for you, a flexible payment schedule can be arranged that will fit into your budget.

Waldheim Endowed Care is part of the General Care Foundation for Jewish Cemeteries. This fund created over nearly fifty years ago resides in Northern Trust of Chicago and is supervised by the Comptroller of the State of Illinois. The trust fund utilizes only the net income that this sizable fund generates to maintain the grave of your loved one for now, next year and the years ahead.

Waldheim features three different levels of Endowed Care. All three affordably priced plans include regular and periodic inspection of monuments and landscaping. All work is guaranteed for quality, workmanship and for your satisfaction.

Over the years, Waldheim Endowed Care has consistently been proven to provide the best value and peace of mind versus the traditional annual care estimates which unfortunately do not provide for the future and usually results in neglected graves.

With just your first payment, Waldheim Endowed Care will go into effect. Trained cemetery personnel will immediately landscape the grave with brand new sod, straighten and secure the monuments if necessary and most importantly begin the regular care and inspections that will insure that these graves will always look maintained, dignified, respected, and remembered.

If you can’t visit the grave and want to see what it looks like at any particular moment, just contact us and we will send you a photo of the grave(s) date stamped at no additional charge.

Annual Care

With Annual Care a proposal is sent every year in the early spring.

In this proposal the care that needs to be performed on the graves explained along with the associated costs. This care typically includes regular mowing, trimming, flower planting and any other special care arranged for previously through our office. Additionally it also may include some other one time maintenance issues including monument straightening and other care issues.

Once payment for Annual Care is received by Waldheim the grave is tendered to by our trained in-house maintenance staff. Your satisfaction is of course guaranteed on all care.
